Feb. 24 - March 4: Benefitting Cradles to Crayons

All D181 schools are partnering together for our annual "D181 Cares" donation drive, this year benefitting the Chicago-based nonprofit Cradles to Crayons.

From Feb. 24 through March 4, we're asking students to bring in their donations of new or gently used clothing, shoes, books and toys. All donations can range in size from infant to adult medium.

Students can drop off their donations in the Cradles to Crayons box, which will be placed at each school. The donations will be sorted at a March 5 volunteer event and delivered to Cradles to Crayons' headquarters. To sign up for the volunteer event, click here.

Note: Prospect School is collecting diapers only, sizes 4 and 5.

Nothing in your closet? You can also purchase new items from our D181-Cradles to Crayons wishlist, and they'll be delivered directly to Madison School to benefit the drive. To view the Amazon wish list, click here.

Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. They supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities.
